Psychotherapy & Counselling Support.

Adult and Adolescent Mental Health Support;
Jen Nicholson, MSW RSW

My Approach

I offer individual psychotherapy / counselling to adults and teens struggling with a range of mental health and related psycho-social difficulties.

I believe psychotherapy should encourage people to make change and find meaning at a pace that feels comfortable to them.

It is an honour to do this work: to support people in even the smallest way on their journey.

Pain is inevitable in our lives, yet alleviating and transforming our suffering is the flow and hope of psychotherapy.

Providing you with a Safe Space

I offer a safe, supportive and professional environment.

I can meet people at my office in Huntsville or via secure video conferencing.

Sometimes, I can meet people in an outdoor setting - sitting or walking in a place that feels safe and conducive to healing / wellness. We can discuss which option is best for you.

In-person and remote options

My office is located in the heart of Huntsville. The building is accessible, has good parking and is near to local amenities.

I also provide the option of video conferencing - some people prefer this to reduce travel time, for health reasons and / or convenience. My virtual therapy services are available to people living anywhere in Ontario.

Therapeutic Approaches

I have training, education and experience in several therapeutic modalities. I often use an eclectic approach as it suits the needs of individual clients. Yet, I most often use and draw from the following modalities:
